Salalah IWP is an Independent Water Project (IWP) based on Reverse Osmosis Technology. The Plant along with the associated Intake & Outfall facilities shall be developed to produce 113,650 m³ of desalinated water per day during regular period and 120,000 m³ per day during the exigency period. The Project shall be located at a costal site adjacent to the existing Sembcorp IWPP in the Dhofar region. The Duration of the WPA term is 20 years and the offtaker is ‘Oman Power & Water Procurement Company’(OPWP). The Commercial Operation Date (COD) was on 12 March 2021.
