About photovoltaic (PV) power

Photovoltaic power converts sunlight directly into electricity. Solar panels are made up of many PV cells, each formed from semiconductor materials such as silicon that create an electrical circuit. When sunlight strikes these cells, electrons move and generate an electric current that can be captured as clean energy.

A photovoltaic power station, also called a solar park or solar farm, is a large-scale system designed to supply electricity to the national grid. Unlike solar panels installed on homes or buildings, these utility-scale plants deliver power on a much larger level, helping meet growing energy demand with renewable solutions.
