Rabigh Three Company is a desalination plant owned by ACWA Power with a capacity of 600,000 m3/d of potable water output using Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) technology. This project located in the Rabigh area (approximately 150 km north of Jeddah), in the western region of KSA. The Plant will be structured as a standalone IWP and will be developed by the Owner.

The proposed SWRO plant includes the following main facilities:

Seawater intake.
Effluent outfall.
Pre-treatment system.
SWRO system.
Post treatment system.
Fire protection and detection system.
General buildings.
Other facilities for maintenance and operation.
 
The desalination plant proposed by the Consortium has been designed in order to comply with the water output requirements and to ensure the required availability of potable water. The design of the plant and the related buildings have been developed focusing on the combination of operational suitability & plant availability, optimization of power consumption and energy efficiency and minimization of the environmental and visual impact.
